The 14th member of the NCQHA Hall of Fame
excerpt from the February 2002 NCQHA
newsletter:
John Montross has been a member of our Association and on
our board of directors for 22 years including one term as President in
1988. He has volunteered his services to the NCQHA and the entire
equine industry for many years; always agreeing to help with clinics and
exhibitions. He has never turned down our membership when called
upon, often being the only person to take on some thankless tasks.
As a contact person for the NCQHA, he was personally responsible for
testing and selecting over 100 horses for the 1999 Special Olympics in
Raleigh. He has been an avid supporter of our youth, giving the John
Montross All Around Youth High Point Challenge Trophy for many years. |
