Our equestrian program places a big focus on our youth and amateur riders. We instruct beginners all the way to world champion riders in English and Western events. We focus on each rider's skills in horsemanship and equitation along with the horse to produce a winning team.

Montross Quarter Horses, Inc instructors are John and Laura Montross. Both are members of the American Quarter Horse Association Professional Horseman's Association and are certified to judge 4-H and open shows. John and Laura are also very active in the North Carolina Quarter Horse Association where they both serve on the board. 

Professional Horseman training available in Over Fences, English Rail Classes, beginning, intermediate and advanced Horsemanship, Western Rail Classes, Reining, Halter to youth, amateur and open riders.

Montross Quarter Horses, Inc has been a huge supporter of the youth programs held in conjunction with NCQHA for years and John has overseen such events as the 1999 Special Olympic equine events. John has been recently and deservingly inducted to the NCQHA Hall of Fame for all his years of support and participation. John and Laura also put on several clinics and seminars in all facets of the horse industry.
